My most treasured flute was made by Hawk LittleJohn, the way his grandfather taught him.
He made it from spalted maple, he burnt in the holes to give the flute fire
and he attached a sprig of sweet grass to make sure it sang sweetly.
I feel honored to be custodian of this enspirited flute.
